On Sept. 10, Sprint announced a new Any Mobile,
Anytime plan bundled with its $69.99 plan that includes unlimited text
messaging, data use and 450 daytime minutes to landlines with an available
upgrade to 900 landline minutes for $20 extra; there are family plan options as
well. Compared to AT&T and Verizon plans which have a
five numbers calling circle to their basic voice plan, which costs $59.99 a
month with 900 minutes of calling (in addition to free evenings, weekends, same
network mobile phones and the five preset numbers), Sprint’s savings are very
attractive indeed. Clearly, having access to any mobile phone, as opposed
to being limited to five preferred numbers, has its advantages. “We don’t think
our customers want to have to keep track of or only talk to friends, colleagues
or family members who make the same choices they do,” said Sprint CEO Dan Hesse
in a statement. |
